I had lost my artistic muse for several weeks and at about midnight last night was struck by the sudden inspiration to draw something and COLOUR it. Thus, Melissa O' Brien's Myobu, quoting a line running about my social circles on proper slap technique. *grin*

The full version of a previously uploaded picture. There are a lot of issues with this one, namely the legs and Silrae's near wing, but I needed a picture of Goldenmist and Silrae together;they're my oldest pair of characters and very dear to me.

The Phaetyrr are the smallest of the Draitajern Air dragons. Like most of the smaller dragons, they are highly social and quite gregarious. Their colours range from bright reds to deep greens to the rarest blacks, although obviously that cannot be seen here, as I am experimenting with pencil shading at the moment in an attempt to create some depth in my work. :) The Phaetyrr are known mainly for their bards; all Phaetyrr magic requires the use of song, and the species as a whole has a massive oral history passed down in musical compositions.

The Owyrrn of Draitajern are slow, herbivorous dragons with purely vestigial wings and all of the sense of a cow. Although they are Earth Dragons, the abilities their mages may manifest tend to remain strictly within the realm of Floramancy:They can encourage plants to grow at an accelrated rate and slowly modify them, but lack the ability to create swift defensive magicks. Although the Owyrrn can converse, and do have full voting privileges in the Draconic Council, many other species regard them as a food source, due to their stupidity and vulnerability.

The Frilled Sand Dragon inhabits the desert dunes of Draitajern. Like many of the other draconics of the realm,its wings have evolved to exclude flight and allow them to serve a different purpose- in this case, heat transfer.

"Fragmented Awareness"...can't decide whether I like this piece or not- it's interesting, but I'm just unsure whether it's a GOOD kind of interesting. In any case, artistic experimentation...five different media used here. :)

Um...the arms are too long, but, like heliolatry.jpg, it's just marker fun and I like the colours... I may end up developing a culture for these tiger-doodles because this one seems to be in some sort of official regalia.

Just a little thing I did with prismacolour markers. There are some serious problems with it, as I wasn't exactly too serious about working on it, but it's kind of a fun piece. I like bright colours. :)

Tiny scales...lots and lots of tiny scales...

Mostly a physics doodle, I must admit, but I took the time to clean it up with ink... A unicorn stallion stands victorious, proud, having conquered the mountain. Now he can hold his head high and stare into the heavens defiantly, for he has demonstrated his strength and prowess.

Hamlet, the one-eyed pirate hamster! He has escaped from his pink plastic ball to terrorize the high seas, plundering from hapless ships between neurotic fits...long story involving my crazy sister and her pet hamster. Ask if you REALLY want to know...

Done as a Christmas present, this thing took forever... way more time than I should have invested in it, in retrospect. :P

Kentucky fried hyena, anyone? Goldenmist gets SLIGHTLY upset with Cara Mitten, who violated cardinal rule #1 when dealing with the alicorn... "Do NOT call Goldenmist a horse. Although normally placid, she WILL fly into a rage."

Erys, the crane 'morph (sort of...) is attempting to get the attention of a character who is tentatively called "Sol" until I can come up with a better name for him. Unfortunately for her, he isn't paying attention at all and she's becoming quite frustrated.

Skyflier the pegasus is a character belonging to Tivin Ravenstar. Prisma pencils, as always.
